Why Canadian numbers?

Most online calculators are built for the United States and quietly assume American sizes. A gallon there is not the can on a Canadian shelf, a bag of pre-mix here is sold in kilograms, and a heater sized for a mild winter will struggle in January in Manitoba. Mississippi Maple is built the other way around.

Metric first, imperial when you want it

Inputs lead with metres, millimetres and litres, because that is how Canadian building supplies are labelled. Where a tape measure in feet and inches is more natural, the calculator offers an imperial option so you never have to convert by hand.

Canadian bag and container sizes

Answers come in the units you actually buy: 30 kg bags of pre-mix concrete, 3.78 L cans of paint, 56.6 L bags of mulch, and bulk material by the cubic yard and tonne.

Canadian climate built in

Where weather changes the answer, like heating load and frost depth, the calculators use Canadian conditions rather than a generic average.
