Frequently asked questions
Where do Celsius and Fahrenheit read the same number?
At -40. It is the only point where the two scales cross, which is handy in Canadian winters: -40 C and -40 F are the same temperature.
Why do US recipes use Fahrenheit while Canadian ovens vary?
Canada uses Celsius for weather, but many Canadian ovens are marked in Fahrenheit because they are built for the North American market. Converting the recipe temperature before you start avoids a burnt or raw result.
